Blue Note Jazz Festival Has Your Green Light to Good Times!
This year marks the second year for Blue Note Jazz Festival to hit the West Coast. We were lucky to have been part of last year’s BNJF, which was the inaugural festival. This year BNJF is coming in heavy with a line-up of epic Jazz, Blues, Hip-Hop, and R&B unlike no other festival or show this year. What a venue and what a town to do it in like Napa, CA. The venue has changed this year to be at the Silverado Resort & Spa, which is sure to be luxurious and convenient to walk easily from stage to stage. As we get closer to the date of the show, more information becomes available like the line-up by day and time is now live on the site.
It’s gonna be LIT!
The Blue Note Jazz Festival will be featuring once again this year their resident musician & Grammy Award winning artist, Robert Glasper. Returning as well is this year’s host to bring the house down is the GOAT himself, Dave Chappelle! Every day and night is going to be truly something special and historic! Last year’s BNJF kicked off its first year with style and grace. This year is set to do the same and then some.
This year’s festival will also be celebrating the influence of jazz on hip-hop for the past 50 years. The QUEEN of R&B and Hip-Hop, Mary J. Blige kicks off the weekend long festival as headliner on Friday. The genius and masterful lyrics and sounds of Nas on Saturday and Chance the Rapper will finish out the weekend on Sunday. That’s not all! All weekend long the line-up of new and cherished artists and bands will be performing for this incredible audience. Including NxWorries (Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge), Ari Lennox, Cordae, Gary Clark Jr., George Clinton and many more. Check out the hour to hour line-up here.
A Sense of Community
“I want to make sure the guests and the artists have memorable experiences. Just like my Blue Note New York residency, the festival is filled with impromptu jams and surprises during one big musical family reunion with artists and an audience that share an appreciation for the culture.” – Robert Glasper
