Big State, Big Cannabis Business to Business at Cal Expo for the First Time!

Hall of Flowers, one of the first b2b events dedicated to bringing brands and Cannabis farms directly to the retail buyers and owners is having another first again. This time it will be the first time that Hall of Flowers will be hosted at the California state fair site, Cal Expo. This is going to be another epic step in Hall of Flowers evolution as the king of Cannabis industry events. After many years of the Northern California location for HOF being in Santa Rosa at the Sonoma County Fair Grounds, this location this year will be an interesting change of scenery and venue. Cal Expo is a massive venue with so many possibilities, it is exciting to imagine on how HOF will use the grounds to showcase the over 200+ exhibitors and thrill thousands of attendees for two days. November 4th & 5th, 2026.

From this Cannapolitan

This season’s HOF is highlighting a multitude of aspects of the industry, including the famous Northern California outdoor farms that are challenged in many ways. This season there will be a dedicated area for organic outdoor grown Cannabis which we are super excited to get a smell and taste of this most recent season’s harvest. Whether the “big hydro brands” want to admit it or not, it’s the outdoor NorCal small family farms that steer the direction of the hottest genetics and trends that happen in Cannabis. Every brand secretly wants that FIRE that Nor Cal breeders and pheno hunters create year after year. These folks are the tastemakers that set the stage for the hottest strains and best hash in the space.  Afterall, the emerald triangle is where it all began. This writer remembers what life was like prior to legal retail or even medical Cannabis was a thing and these buds from Northern California were traveling down the state. We would call it “that Humboldt bud” or anything that came from this magical place. The early 90’s were an interesting time for Cannabis. Hydroponics were just starting to become a thing, producing these giant frosty nugs. It was the genetics that made the case for what was the best at the time, and it still stands today. All that said…

Craft Sungrown Takes Center Stage

For the first time, Hall of Flowers is building a dedicated space just for outdoor Craft Sungrown in its own Showcase. This is presented in partnership with Budist, (a Cannabis product review website). The showcase puts California’s best small-batch, sun-grown cultivators in front of retail buyers in the open air at Cal Expo, giving the farms that grow under the sun a stage built around the way they grow.

Woody Really Likes It!

“I’ve always believed the three most important factors for good herb are sun, soil and water, which is why I find it surprising that herb grown without soil, without sun and frequently using municipal water has become so popular. I am probably an outlier for wanting to sit with friends and burn one down instead of taking one hit and having the top of my head blown off,” said Woody Harrelson.

“At the WoodsWeho dispensary, we are dedicated to supporting the best herb from the Emerald Triangle, where it gets nourished by the sun, in nutrient-rich soil, and fed pristine water.

The Woods

“This is why I am excited that Hall of Flowers is putting Sungrown at the center of the floor this November in Sacramento. Real farms growing herb the way it’s supposed to be grown. Farmers, they built a section for you. Retailers, if you haven’t looked at this category in a while, come look again. November 4th and 5th, Cal Expo. It’s time.”

Participating farms include: Briceland Forest Farm, Down OM Farm, Emerald Spirit Botanicals, Emerald Triangle Craft, Farm Cut, Garcia Hand Picked, Gold Standard, HappyDay Farms, Henry’s Original, Mendocino Natural Farms, POET, Rootimentrees, Talking Trees, Trinity Roots, , and Woods Goods.

Hall of Flowers is the mother of all Cannabis b2b events!

More than 740 California retail doors have already confirmed attendance, putting buyers, brands, cultivators, and distributors face to face on one show floor.

This new venue gives Hall of Flowers room to do something no other show in the state does: bring the full supply chain together under one roof, from small-batch sungrown farms to the state’s biggest brands. Cannabis has always been built on handshakes and word of mouth. Hall of Flowers was created by trade show veterans and longtime industry operators to give those relationships a professional home, and Sacramento is about to get the biggest version yet.

As always, Cannapolitan is proud to be a media partner to Hall of Flowers and we’ll be there to show it all off to our readers.

We find the fire and then we share it all with you, so be sure to bookmark Cannapolitan for all your Cannabis news, reviews, and lifestyle must haves.
